REGISTRATION is:

Registration fees are due this evening. Player/Coach registration plus 1/2 of the GAARA League fees are due.

The following items will be required:

  • Team Contract - Must be signed by a team representative.

  • Registration Package Section A - This provides Player & Coach information.
    Please NOTE: The NCCP# for head and assistant coaches (not the same as their ORA #) is mandatory on your Package A. If you do not know what your head and assistant coach's NCCP # is, please have them email database@coach.ca and include the following (so they can verify they are giving the correct number): Full name, Address / City / Postal Code, Phone

  • Registration Package Section B-G - Season fees tallied for team.

  • Player Evaluation and Registration Form - Original signed copies will be required for any NEW players.

  • Bench Staff Code of Conduct Form - Must be signed by all members of the team's coaching staff.

  • Athlete Release Form - Are you living in Quebec but playing on an Ontario team?
    The player must fill out and sign an Athlete Release Form and send it to Ringuette Quebec for their authorization, in order for you to play on an Ontario team. Once signed/authorized by Ringette Quebec, they will forward it to ORA who then let's us know they've received the release. Please allow ample time for this process, as GAARA will NOT register you on an Ontario team until we have received it.

  • Criminal Record Checks - In accordance with Ontario Ringette Association policy, all bench staff for Open/Masters teams must complete and submit a criminal record check. Please see By-Law 27 for details. For persons seeking VOLUNTEER roles primarily to serve the vulnerable sector of the population is FREE. You must possess a letter from the volunteer organization stating that you are seeking a Police Records Check for the purposes of volunteering. Letter from GAARA.   • BLANK CHECK - A check payable to "GAARA" will be required for season fees. A member of the executive will verify the registration package for the team and if there are changes your check might change. That is why we ask you to bring your check blank.



Registering as a SPARE UNTIL January 8, 2010:

Individual players can register with GAARA as a spare. Your name is placed in GAARA's spare list located under the "Members Area" for all team reps to go to and contact.

The following items will be required and need to be sent to the GAARA Registrar. Please email the following to registrar@gaara.ca:

  • Player Evaluation and Registration Form - An original signed copy will be required for any NEW players.

  • Complete Address - Must be provided.

  • Birthdate - Must be provided including the year.

  • Phone Number - Must be provided.

  • CHECK - A check will be required for player fees and insurance. The registrar will email the address as to where the check is to be sent to and the amount.



PRE-REGISTRATION is:

July 20th to August 4th, 2009

COMPLETE

If you want to play in the league, you must send in the following to be received by August 4th, 2009.

This gives the league executive roughly one month to plan the schedule from September to December and get the league divisions established.

Pre-Registration will NOT BE accepted if any of these items are missed:

1) A Team Pre-Registration Form that indicates who will most likely be on your team and what division you want to play in for the 2009-2010 season.

2) A Player Evaluation and Registration Form must be sent to registrar@gaara.ca for any players you listed in the NEW player joining section of the Team Pre-Registration Form. ORIGINAL signed copies will be required at Registration.

3) A list of 11 hours of ice (Prefered Method to submit your ice please). Between October and March, but some teams will start playing as early as last week of SEPTEMBER. Teams may submit ice for only the October - December part of the year if that's all they have. If you do not have ice times before August 5th please still complete the form and state that in the "comments area" so that the League Director is notified. Please see how GAARA's ice is allocated here.

GAARA **MAY** consider teams for the league that apply after this date.
